Y2K Grand Prix riders

Each rider card has been personalised to try to ensure realistic riding styles as well as realistic results. At the bottom of each rider’s card are two boxes. The top box has a large letter (A,B,C or D), this is his starting gate ability.

The lower box is a series of numbers from 1 all the way to 1,2,3,4.; these are his numbers which will determine when he suffers outside reduction when not using the inside lane. These two boxes are in place of the small discs referred to in the game rules.

To further personalise some riders they have been given split “safe movement” grades. Take a look at Niki Pedersen who has a (8/9) safe outside movement grade. When using this grade it will be necessary to roll a single die, a result of 1 or 2 you use the figure to the left of the slash (8), on 3 –6 use the figure to the right (9).
