Mini League Match Up

Mini League Match Up’ (MLMU) is a fun, two-player game using the Team Cards and dice provided. It can be played on a small table (quiet corner of the pub maybe) and playing time is approximately 20 minutes, during which time 10 matches are played and each player is credited with match points won (3 for a Home win, 1 for a draw, 4 for an Away win, 0 for a loss) with the highest total winning overall. If points are equal the Goal Difference decides the winner, if those are also equal the game is a draw and the money in the pot (if you are playing for money, sweets, match sticks or whatever) is returned or left in situ to play another game.
Alternatively you can play on the basis that the loser buys the next round. You will have noticed that an Away win earns an extra point, making 4 for a win away from home, and this is subject to doubling to 8 pts if a ‘Double Points’ Card has been used.
Any scrap paper can be used to record points won and goal difference but we provide a sample Scoresheet which shows what information should be recorded.
